For estates
Run your estate's utilities the way you already run everything else — with a record for each step.
Whether your estate confirms payments by bank transfer or takes card payments automatically, the workflow below is the same one your estate admin uses every day.
- 01
Configure your estate
Set the estate's name, staff and structure as the estate admin.
- 02
Add houses
Create the housing units that make up your estate.
- 03
Add and assign meters
Register smart meters and assign each one to the right house.
- 04
Invite residents
Send invitations so residents can create their own accounts and link to your estate.
- 05
Set your utility rate
Configure the commercial rate your estate charges for water and other supported utilities.
- 06
Configure your receiving account
Add the bank account residents transfer to, if your estate uses manual bank transfer.
- 07
Confirm payments
Review and confirm incoming bank transfers against the payments residents report.
- 08
Generate utility tokens
Confirmed payments trigger a smart-meter token for the resident automatically.
- 09
Track transactions
Every payment — confirmed, pending or failed — stays visible in your estate's ledger.
Manual confirmation, on your terms
If your estate doesn't use card payments, residents see your estate's bank name, account name and account number with clear instructions, and pay directly into that account. Nothing is issued until you confirm the transfer against your bank records — Ovend never assumes a payment landed.
One rate, set by you
The rate your residents pay is whatever your estate configures — independent of what any upstream metering provider charges Ovend. Provider figures are technical integration data; your residents only ever see your estate's commercial rate.
